Standing in line at Costco
Inching toward the cashier
When to my surprise
Out the corner of my eyes
I noticed his coat and his beard
What is he doing at Costco?
I thought as my jaw hit the floor
The big man himself, and a couple of elves
A sight I just could not ignore
Santa, can ya tell me why
You're standing in the checkout line?
Do you need a TV or boxed red wine?
Do the hot dogs make your reindeer fly?
Out in the lot
Looking for a spot
When I caught a glimpse of hit sled
Thought I saw his toy sack
But when I looked back
It was a big bag of Doritos instead
And I've never witnessed
A sleigh with the fitness
To drag 1000 pounds through the air
But sure as Santa's a saint
That hot tub went up, up and away
Flying off as we all stood and stared
Santa, can ya tell me why
You're standing in the checkout line?
Do you need a TV or boxed red wine?
Do the hot dogs make your reindeer fly?
Now let me look into his shopping cart
What could he possibly need?
Cause by my recollection and his strict direction
The elves do all his shopping
I see:
A TV, a rump roast, and coffee beans
A tent and a big block of cheese
A fridge, some cough syrup, and toilet paper
A 25 pound bag of Thai Hom Mali Jasmine rice
Santa, can ya tell me why

Bryan: It’s been a long year of making toys
Santa put a lot of miles on the reindeer this year, and it’s starting to show
I think the whole team could really use a sea day, Santa, Mrs. Claus - especially the elves
Austen: What’s a sea day?
Bryan: You don’t know what a sea day is? It’s a day you just kinda relax, stay on the boat - no stops, just cruisin'
Austen: Ohhh! Santa could really use one of those... I’d say he actually needs one
Santa needs a sea day

Christmas only comes one time a year but it's not fun and games or silly Christmas cheer
Santa works hard, always breaking a sweat
Running around or riding on that sled
So he needs some time
To really unwind
Sippin' martinis with his only bride
Jump aboard a cruise
And kick off your shoes
Cause you know what they'll say
Santa needs a sea day

Now he heads up to the top deck - the Crow's Nest bar
Doing body shots off elves and smokin' cigars
It's sad he never tips, nope, no gratuity
But I guess that's okay, cause you know he works for free
Pickleball at 1:00pm
At 3 it's high tea
For dinner he'll be ordering lobster and steak frites
